12th-13th July 2018
This 2-day residential summer school is for young people with ASD between the ages of 14 and 19 who have the potential to go on to university.
Pupils on the scheme will be mentored by current university students, who give an insight into university life and help equip pupils who attend with skills needed for university life. This will be done through a combination of activities including workshops, academic taster sessions and social events. There will also be the opportunity for pupils to receive extra support for homework, revision, and making applications to college and university. Together, the young people and their mentors will plan out a calendar for the year ahead, combining events from the program of group sessions with individual activities (such as planning a meal and cooking together, going for a coffee, or attending open days).
