Design is all around us and students use their creativity to design products that will have an impact in competitive markets. Art encourages students to think both creatively and critically. In the digital age, it has never been easier to showcase your talents and has led to an explosion of opportunities for designers.
Cardiff School of Art and Design is a leading European art school which believes in the natural creativity of the student and seeks to provide opportunities for them to develop their best talents.
As part of the course, students will learn how to make an impact in the art market. If you have a creative flare and a passion for art, studying an Art and Design degree can provide you with the foundation to build a career on.
What will I learn?
Cardiff School of Art and Design offers a range of degree programmes including: Ceramics, Fine Art, Graphic Communication, Illustration, Product Design and Textiles. With the course, Artist Designer: Maker, students are no longer limited to a certain material or process. The programmes have been carefully designed to offer a balance of taught workshops, practical sessions, lecture programmes and time for your own self-directed research in which you can really shape your own expertise.
Art and Design graduates are equipped with many transferable skills. Often students go on to pursue careers in the field from curating, managing galleries, education and art therapy to arts administration and practicing as artists and designers. Students are also well placed for jobs in marketing and digital development.
